Looking after your Brix Plus stand

Acrylic is gorgeous, durable, and a little more particular than glass when it comes to cleaning. A few minutes of the right technique keeps your stand crystal-clear for years.

Cleaning

Use a microfibre cloth and a small amount of warm water. For fingerprints or smudges, a drop of dish soap mixed with warm water works perfectly.

Avoid: paper towels (they micro-scratch the surface), glass cleaner, ammonia-based products, and anything containing alcohol. These can cloud or crack acrylic over time.

Dust

The single biggest enemy of any display piece. A weekly pass with a microfibre cloth keeps the stand and your collection sharp. For tight spots, a soft makeup brush or a can of compressed air does the job without leaving fibres behind.

Sunlight

Our acrylic resists yellowing under normal indoor lighting. For best long-term clarity, avoid placing your display in direct, prolonged sunlight — the same rule that protects the LEGO® bricks themselves.

Scratches

Light scratches in acrylic can usually be polished out with a plastic polish (Novus #2 or similar). Test in an inconspicuous corner first. Deep scratches are best left alone.

Disassembly and storage

If you need to move or store your stand, gently pop the panels apart by hand — no tools needed. Wrap each panel in a soft cloth before stacking. Reassembly takes a few minutes when you're ready to display again.
